Season 2: Bath City FC Secures Vanarama National League Title in Dramatic Final Match

It's been an exciting season for me as the manager of Bath. From the very start, we had a clear goal in mind: to win the Vanarama National League and earn promotion to the Football League.

One of the key moves we made to help us achieve this goal was signing striker Alex Fletcher from Yeovil. Fletcher proved to be a valuable addition to the team, scoring an impressive 17 goals in 33 appearances. Alongside Fletcher, we also brought in midfielders Lloyd James and Jordan Dyer, who provided crucial support both offensively and defensively.

Throughout the season, we experimented with different formations, eventually settling on a 4-4-2 system that allowed us to get the most out of our attacking players. Our midfield trio of Joe Rabbetts, Jamie Devitt, and James Comley also proved to be a key component of our success, providing solid defensive support and contributing offensively as well.

We had a strong start to the season, winning our first three matches and setting the tone for the rest of the campaign. While we did have a few setbacks along the way, we were able to bounce back and maintain a consistent level of performance.

One of the highlights of the season was our 3-0 win over Bromley in September. This was a crucial match for us, as it helped solidify our position at the top of the league. We also had a memorable 1-0 win over Darlington in September, with a goal from Sam Bellis proving to be the difference in a tight match.

As the season came to a close, it was clear that we were in a strong position to earn promotion. In the end, it all came down to the final match of the season against Chesterfield. We were able to secure a 2-1 win, with goals from Alex Fletcher and Ben Seymour, and with that victory we secured the Vanarama National League title and earned promotion to the Football League.

Overall, it's been a fantastic season for the team and I'm proud of the hard work and determination they showed throughout the campaign. We've made a lot of progress and I'm looking forward to what the future holds for Bath.
